Nestled right on the banks of the Ganges, the hotel boasts a sprawling terrace and beautiful garden, offering a serene atmosphere that's hard to match. The spacious rooms came equipped with essential amenities, including an electric kettle and tea/coffee facilities. The staff, particularly Ranjit bhaiya, ensured we felt welcomed and informed, guiding us through the vibrant local culture without any pretense. What stood out was the value for money. Compared to other properties in the area, Panchkote Raj provides a unique experience as the owners actively host guests. You get that personal touch, which feels like visiting friends. While the rates were on the higher side compared to budget options, the overall experience-including the 24-hour reception and complimentary wi-fi-was worth it. For anyone looking to explore Varanasi's history, this hotel stands out not just for its location but for the immersive experience it offers.
